CP has developed a new portable homing centre in a former warehouse in Mitcham, South London. The concept of the portable homing centre allows the felines to be transported easily if necessary, speeds up the rehoming process and provides more flexibility in the services the charity provides.
The homing centre provides five air conditioned, easily transported blocks holding four pens in each. Centre manager Michelle Igoe said “We want the cats to spend less time in here. We can get them into new homes within seven days- and a quicker rehoming process means that we can help more cats in the long term”
