We are the Reading and District branch, covering the area of postcodes RG1, RG4, RG8, RG9, RG30 and RG31. Areas to our East are covered by the Bracknell and Wokingham District Branch, and to our South by Basingstoke Branch. Travelling along the A4 towards Newbury, we stop just north of Thatcham at which point the Newbury Adoption Centre takes over.
You can phone us on 0118 940 3005. We aim to answer this number between 9am and 5pm daily, though we are volunteer-run, and we don't always have a volunteer available to answer calls.
If you would like to adopt a cat from us, please visit our Adopt A Cat page. If you would like further information, please email firstname.lastname@example.org
If you need to rehome your cat, and you live within the postcodes listed above, please email email@example.com. If you live outside our area, please see below for nearby Cats Protection branches.
If you have lost your cat, or found a cat, please see our Lost and Found page or email firstname.lastname@example.org for a quick response from our team.
If you are looking for a specific book , please email email@example.com and we will try to help you.
We are sometimes able to help with the cost of neutering. If you are on benefits or have a low income, please email firstname.lastname@example.org, giving your name, address and phone number, the name of the benefit you receive, and the name, age and sex of your cat(s). Your cat will be microchipped at the same time, free of charge, so please let us know if your cat already has a microchip. Please state which vet you would like to use from the following: Castle, Tilehurst Vets (School Road), Oakley, Burghfield or Companion Care (Pets at Home); you do not have to be registered at any of these vets to use the neutering voucher. If you would like to use a different vet, please contact us for more information. Please note that your cat must be at least 4 months old. If you have a kitten younger than this, please contact us when it reaches 4 months of age.
We always need new volunteers to foster cats that are waiting for new homes, to help at fundraising events and in our shop, to answer our helpline, and in many other ways. If you would like to help, please email email@example.com
