A Poem of Thanks to Rugby Cats Protection

We loved this Poem of Thanks from Sam so we thought that we'd share it with you!
Thank you for looking after me,
The warmth, the care, the food,
Thank you for still loving me
When I was in a bad mood.
Thank you for nursing me
When I was hurt and sore,
In fact thank you for everything,
I couldn’t have asked for more.
Now I have a new home at last,
I do like it I have to say,
I am very happy here,
I know I am here to stay.
They feed me well and play with me,
They give me treats and care,
They tickle my tummy and groom me
So that I have a shiny coat to wear.
They take me out in the garden,
That’s fine when there’s lots of sun,
But then the wind blows through my fur
That’s it, I’m back in, I’m done.
My mum says that I’m very good
And I don’t do anything wrong,
Ha ha I say, just wait and see
You haven’t known me for very long.
So now’s the time to end this,
I could go on all day,
But there’s just one more thing
That I think I should again say.
That’s a very big thank you
From the bottom of my heart,
In all the eight years of my life
I’m so glad that you played a part.
Take care of yourself and all the cats
That may come into your care,
I hope they realise that they’re lucky
To be living with you there.
