Volunteers urgently required

A volunteer helper who lives in the Derbyshire area is urgently being sought by the Derby and District Branch of Cats Protection who could offer their services free for a few hours a week on a Wednesday to staff their Catline. This would involve the volunteer retrieving recorded voicemail messages from members of the public using their own phone and passing the details on to the appropriate Branch volunteers. Training and support would be given but it would be helpful if you had an administration background. The ‘job’ would suit someone who is at home for most of the day. It is an ideal opportunity for someone who has always wanted to help cats but didn’t know how.

If you are interested and would like a copy of the role description, please call our Catline on 01332 206956 or email the Branch on enquiries@derbybranch.cats.org.uk

FUNDRAISING CO-ORDINATOR - For some time now, we have been seeking a volunteer to take on the role of contacting supermarkets, etc for permission to hold fundraising/information stalls. There is already a regular stall held in St Peter's Street, Derby, and we would like this to continue.  Is this the 'job' for you?
Derby and District Branch has many vacancies for other volunteers such as Vet Runners.
We also need an Assistant to the Vet Liaison Officer - this is mostly an administrative role and can be carried out from home a couple of days a week.
Last but not least, volunteers are always needed at our charity shops in Derby and Wirksworth.
Full training and support will be given to the successful applicants for all of the above vacancies.  Anyone who is interested should contact the Cat Line on 01332 206 956 (voicemail) or enquiries@derbybranch.cats.org.uk and leave their details.
