Volunteering

Welcome to Cats Protection Volunteering page for Downham Market Adoption Centre

As a charity, we rely on the generosity and kindness of the public to enable us to go on caring for cats and kittens across Norfolk and the wider UK. Our work never stops, so your support, in whatever form and whatever amount of time you are able to give it, is vital to us.

We have a range of volunteer roles at Cats Protection, which you may be interested in.

If you are interested in any, please click on it and complete the form. We will respond as soon as we are able. Alternatively email us on norfolk.volunteering@cats.org.uk.

If there are no roles showing, then we may not be recruiting at this time..

Applicants must be over 14 years of age however, any volunteer under the age of 16 must be accompanied by an adult.

Please note
- we are a rural centre in a remote location, so whilst a car is recommended to be able to get to the centre, please do think about how you might get to us if you are thinking of volunteering.

Our Supawstore at Tottenhill also accepts volunteers, please get in touch with them direct Click here for more details.

Thank you for considering volunteering with Cats Protection.

At present, we have an opportunity for a DIY volunteer at the centre - if you are interested in this, please click on the link below...

DIY Volunteer

Whilst we do everything we can to find new loving homes for the cats in our care, it is a reality that our feline friends will have to spend some time in a rescue environment. Our DIY volunteers use their passion for all things DIY to help keep Cats Protection sites safe, tidy and welcoming. The cats in our care are more likely to be rehomed if they are content in their environment, and members of the public are more likely to visit their local Cats Protection site if it is a well maintained and enjoyable place to visit.
