You may know that we recently merged with the Camberley branch to become Farnham, Camberly & Districts Cats Protection. This is great news for our branch, but it does mean that we need to expand our team of cat loving volunteers. We have a wide range of roles available including fundraising, fostering, publicity, transport, welfare, handy person and many others.

Volunteering with us is a great way to gain valuable skills, get some work experience, meet new people and give something back.

At the moment we are on the look out for some specific roles including:

- Fundraising event organisers; someone who can take ownership of organising an event. This includes helping to plan the activies, arranging the transportation of goods and ensuring there are enough volunteers to help out on the day.
- Fundraising volunteers; there are many ways to fundraise for the branch. This could be baking some cakes for a sale, creating something crafty to sell, collecting donations at a fundraiser or manning a tombola at an event.
- Fosterer; caring for cats who are looking for their forever home, either in a spare room or in a special pen in your garden. This is a hands on role and you will need to be around a lot to look after the cat(s) in your care.
- Publicity volunteer; helping to spread the word about what we do and our fundraising efforts via the local press, word of mouth and social media. This could be writing content, creating graphics or posting online.

There are plenty of roles to fill so if you have a specific skill please get in touch so we can find the best one for you.

Cats Protection has simple and clear objectives to help cats:

Homing - Finding good homes for cats in need
Neutering - Supporting and encouraging the neutering of cats
Information - Improving people’s understanding of cats and their care

Please note: our branch is run entirely by volunteers and all roles are unpaid.

If you would like to volunteer for any of these roles, or need more information, please email recruitment@farnham.cats.org.uk or call 01252 334644.
