Adopt a cat
Nationally, Cats Protection rehomes around 60,000 cats and kittens every year. Here in our corner of the world we are always seeking loving homes for the cats and kittens in our care. We home or relocate between 200 and 300 cats and kittens every year.
Below are some of the cats in our care at the moment. The situation is constantly changing so if one of the cats you are interested in is no longer available then we are sure you will be delighted with one of our other needy cats.
The Branch Adoption fee is £60.00 per cat or kitten.
If a kitten has not been neutered prior to adoption a nuetering voucher will be given.
All our cats and kittens are seen by a vet, given flea and worm treatment, microchipped, vaccinated (the branch covers the cost of the second vaccine if the cat has not completed the full course, as long as you attend the same vet), and if old enough will be neutered. As you will appreciate this adoption fee does not cover all these costs. When an adult cat leaves Cats Protection the costs will be approximatley £200. A kitten will cost almost the same and sometimes more! We do ask that if you feel able to make a donation on top of the fee that would, of course, be gratefully received. We are able to claim Gift Aid if you pay tax.
Please don't overlook the older cats as they can be just as rewarding as a kitten, if not more so
Remember, kittens don't stay kittens for long!
If you are interested in any of these cats, or wish to discuss the care needed to adopt a cat or kitten, please telephone our main branch number, which is: 01728 723 499, email us or fill out the form beneath each of the cats details. For a quicker response on the cats and kittens in care please call the main branch number rather than email. Please leave a message if we are unable to answer and someone will get back to you as soon as possible.
We often have a waitlist of felines to come into care if all our foster homes are full. If you think you would like to foster cats and kittens, either in a dedicated space in your home, or in outdoor cabins, please call and we will be happy to give you more details of this very rewarding volunteering opportunity.
Some of the cats in our care may not yet be on our website. If you are looking for a feline companion, please contact us on 01728 723 499
