TrixieFramlingham & Saxmundham

We desperately need a very special home for this beautiful but challenging girl.

Trixie is five years old and a pretty tortoiseshell. She is used to living in a home as an only pet and doesn’t like to go out much in winter. She initially seems very affectionate, rubbing against your legs, purring etc. But for reasons unknown to us, she will suddenly turn, and can bite or scratch badly, and then go back to being affectionate again. For that reason it is safest if she is not petted.

Due to her unpredictable nature, we feel there are possibly two options for her future:

1. Indoors as part of an adults only home, where the owners are aware and alert to her sudden changes in mood. She could be played with, using a long feather or stick. It would be safer not to have her on laps or to stroke her. She should have access to a safe garden and an indoor litter tray (she does not use a cat door).

2. For Trixie to live in an annexe/conservatory/garden room with natural light (and heating in winter), attached to a house or in the garden. She would like a large box as a cosy bed, preferably hidden away in a corner so she feels safe. She should have access to a safe garden and an indoor litter tray.

She should not be with other cats, dogs, or children.

If you have experience of cats like Trixie and would like to offer her a home with the ideal conditions for her we look forward to hearing from you
