Support us

If you love cats there are many ways you can help!

Give a cat (or two) a loving home
All our cats and kittens are waiting for a second chance in life to find a loving home, and you might be able to help. Cats Protection never put a healthy cat to sleep, and we try and find a loving home for all the cats and kitten in our care, no matter how long it takes. For details of all our cats currently waiting to be re-homed see Adopt a cat.

If you can spare a few hours a month and would like to help the cats and kittens in our care, we'd love to hear from you. There are many volunteering roles needing additional help and support.

Become a cat fosterer
We don't have a rescue centre - all our cats are cared for by volunteer fosterers in their own homes while they wait for adoption.  We provide training and lots of support, and also cover all expenses.  The more fosterers we have volunteering with us, the more cats in need we can help. If you're interested in joining our fostering team, please call our helpline on 020 853 8666, or email

Sponsor a cat
We usually find new homes quite easily for young healthy cats, but older cats or those needing special diets or regular medication are often not wanted as pets. When this happens our fosterers continue to care for them as Cats Protection never puts a healthy cat to sleep. To find out more about sponsoring one of our ‘long-term residents’ call us on 020 8853 8666.

Make a donation
Your donations, no matter how large or small, make a huge difference to the lives of the unwanted cats and kittens in our care. Without you we simply wouldn't be able to continue our work to rescue, treat, rehome and neuter all cats which desperately need our help. Please download, complete and return the attached donation form.  Thank you for your support.
