Adopt a cat

If you are interested in adopting any of our cats please use the "contact us about this cat" button below the cats advert. There may be some cats in our care that have not yet made it to our website. Please contact us on enquiries@midsomer.cats.org.uk for further information.

Please note, we can not reserve cats for longer than 7 days, if you have future plans that mean you can't take the cat straight away, please wait until you are ready before enquiring about it. Sadly we have very limited resources and it's in the best interest of the cats to be homed as soon as possible, which also frees up the valuable space for the next cat that needs our help.

Unfortunately, due to lack of volunteers and travelling time for the cats/volunteers, we are only homing within a 20 mile radius. We will still consider applications outside of this radius but won't be able to offer delivery.

All our cats will have been vet checked and treated for fleas and worms before being ready for Adoption. Our current Adoption fee is £80 per cat and £100 per kitten, which includes vaccinations, neutering, microchipping and 4 weeks free insurance via Petplan. To find out more about why we charge an adoption fee you can read the Adoption Fee Explained Leaflet

During the pandemic we were operating a 'Hands Free Homing Process', now restrictions are lifted we can accomodate visits in some instances, however some of our fosterers are happier using 'Hands Free'; where this is the case it will be marked on the cats advert.  For more information about Hands Free Homing please read the whole process here Hands Free Homing Process

From time to time we help to re-home cats that are on our list waiting for a space, to view these cats please see the 'Direct Homing' link on the left. You will be dealing directly with the current owner, therefore there is no liability with Cats Protection, the information provided has been given by the owner.
