Welcome to Cats Protections Mitcham Homing Centre
**LOCKDOWN UPDATE - we are not open to the public and will drop cats off to their adopted home using our Hands-Free Homing system. Due to limited resources, we can only rehome to properties within 45 minutes of the centre. If you live further away, please visit www.cats.org.uk to find a centre or branch more local to you. We are also unable to accept donations or Terracycle items at this time**
**ENHANCED COVID-19 TESTING: WE ARE UNABLE TO REHOME TO, OR ADMIT CATS FROM, AREAS CURRENTLY UNDERGOING "SURGE TESTING" FOR THE NEW STRAIN OF COVID-19**
In selected Cats Protection centres, during the lockdown restrictions surrounding the coronavirus (COVID-19), we are trialling a new hands-free homing approach for some of our cats.
This is to ensure that we can continue to help as many cats as possible at this time by matching them with their perfect family and freeing up more space in our centres. If you’re interested in adopting a cat from us please take a look here Adopt a Cat. If you think you could be the #PurrfectMatch for one of these lovely moggies, please fill out a contact form located on your chosen cats profile page. Please note: We have in place extensive procedures that are enabling carefully controlled rehoming without putting people at risk of infection, and without a negative impact on cat welfare. Therefore, we cannot guarantee that you will be able to adopt a cat at this time but we will be ensuring that all our cats are matched with potential owners who are able to provide the environment and lifestyle required by each cat’s individual needs. We are closed to visitors due to the COVID-19 pandemic, however our phone lines and email inbox are manned between 9am and 6pm daily. Our friendly staff at the Mitcham Homing Centre will help you choose a cat that is best suited to you, your lifestyle and your home. When you give a home to a cat or kitten from us, you can be assured that it has been vet checked, neutered (if it is old enough), vaccinated, microchipped, and treated for fleas and worms. You can also buy everything you need for your cat, such as food, litter, bowls and toys from us too. All profits we make go back to helping more cats in need of a loving new home. At the moment we are unable to take on new volunteers, however, we appreciate each and every offer for help. As a charity, we rely solely on the generosity of lovely people like you – as well as adopting a cat or kitten there are a number of ways you can support us, see more information here On behalf of all the cats, staff and volunteers at the Mitcham Homing Centre, thank you for your support!
