Welcome to Cats Protection Moray Branch

We’re here to support cats and kittens in Moray, covering postcodes: AB37, AB38, AB45, AB54, AB55, AB56, IV30, IV31, IV32, and IV36. Please be aware some of these postcodes may border more than one branch of Cats Protection. 

Run by a small team of dedicated, cat-loving volunteers, we’re passionate about improving the lives of cats and kittens in Moray, working to find loving new homes for local cats in our care, offering support with neutering, and lost and found cats, as well as general education and awareness within the Moray area. We run a £5 neuter and chip scheme for eligible cat owners. Details can be requested by emailing enquiries@moray.cats.org.uk

We run a very successful TNR scheme (trap, neuter and return) for ferals within the Moray area.  For enquiries regarding TNR please email the main email address and it will be passed on to the team.

Volunteer for Cats Protection Moray Branch

Without volunteers, Cats Protection Moray Branch simply wouldn't exist. Our amazing, friendly volunteers are a diverse group with a shared love of cats who fit volunteering around their home lives and personal commitments.

We're often looking to welcome new volunteers to join our brilliant team. As well as meeting great people and making an incredible difference to the cats of Moray, you'll enjoy practical benefits such as discounted pet insurance.


Vacancies

Currently we are looking for new fosterers as we only have a very small number of fosterers at the moment. This can be an external foster pen in the garden or an indoor room which is not used for any other purpose.  We provide all of the materials needed plus all expenses are paid by the branch.  We do however need your commitment and dedication to the cats in your foster care and it can be time consuming.  Any one who is interested please email enquiries@moray.cats.org.uk and we can give you full details of what this entails. 

We are also looking for a fundraising team leader - someone who has the time and dedication to helping us raise more funds for the branch.  We have volunteers who can help at events but are looking for someone with really good ideas for us to raise funds and be able to organise any such fundraising - this may be online or face to face events. Again if interested please email us.

Please note that the helpline phone is a voicemail service only, however we will come back to you as soon as one of our volunteers are available. 

The email is manned daily but please be aware that our branch is run by a very small team of unpaid volunteers with other paid jobs and families and calls and messages will be read and actioned outside of their other working hours.  We do our utmost to get back to everyone as quickly as possible.
