Adopt a cat

Welcoming a new cat into your home can be an exciting time.

It is a commitment, but we are here to help you make the right choice for you and the cat.
That support also includes insurance plans tailored for all cats, from the cuddly kittens and those in their twilight years.
For example, NCAC insurance partner PetPlan is one provider that warmly welcomes new owners of cats in their later years.
Once you feel ready for the responsibility, it's time to take the next step.

Simply visit the National Cat Adoption Centre and meet the cats looking for new homes.

Our staff are happy to discuss the personalities of the cats and which ones would suit you.

We are open 10am-4pm, seven days a week (except Christmas Day, Boxing Day and New Year's Day).

Before you can take a cat home, we will ask some simple questions to ensure that your cat fits your circumstances.

As part of this important process to safeguard cats in our care, you will complete a Homefinder Questionnaire and provide proof of your address and ID.

This is also
a chance to ask any questions about your chosen cat, before we arrange a home visit.

When it all goes well, we will then book an appointment to collect your new cat, and that is when you will pay your adoption fee of £80.

note: Our website updates on a 24 hour cycle, so please bear with us if some cats are already reserved. Don't worry: we have plenty more cats looking for a home.

All of our cats are:
  • Vet health-checked
  • Vaccinated
  • Microchipped
  • Neutered (if old enough)
  • De-flead and wormed

Given that our cat care costs can be in excess of £150 per cat, we ask for a reasonable adoption fee of £80 per cat towards our costs.
