Cat adoption in Scunthorpe

Could you provide a loving new home for a cat in Scunthorpe? During the process of adopting a cat from us, we’ll consider everything from your potential pet’s personality and how this fits with your lifestyle, to your home environment – creating the perfect match for both cat and owner and the start of a wonderful feline friendship.

Cats available for adoption from Cats Protection Scunthorpe Branch are featured below. To express your interest in a particular cat, please enquire via their listing. If you have any general enquiries about your suitability, or the adoption process, please call us on 0345 260 1450 or email us

***PLEASE NOTE THAT OUR ADOPTION FEE IS NOW £80 FROM 1ST AUGUST 2024. ***

WE WILL PAY FOR ANY VETERINARY COSTS FOR ANY AGE RELATED ILLNESS IN THE OLDER CATS. THIS WILL BE APPLICABLE TO OUR MORE MATURE CATS IN CARE AND WILL BE MENTIONED IN THEIR INDIVIDUAL WRITE UPS.

NOTE REGARDING DIRECT HOMINGS - Can we inform you that anyone taking on a Direct Homing from our site has no input from Cats Protection other than advertising for the current owner to help them rehome their cat(s).

In the event that anything goes wrong with the homing either with medical issues or behaviour then you MUST go back to the original owner to rectify this. It is NOT the responsibility of Cats Protection to sort out any issues. A Direct Homing is between the original owner and the potential new owner to sort. We are merely offering a free service to advertise the cat on our site.

If you are struggling to pay for neutering of your cat/kitten or on a low income/benefits please get in contact and we may be able to help you with a part paid voucher to help with the cost.  The vouchers are worth £45 for a male and £70 for a female. The balance is paid by yourself to your own vet.

The voucher price may fully cover the cost of neutering depending on your chosen vet.

Having your cat microchipped is now the law since June 10th 2024.

Don't risk a fine, have your cat microchipped if over 12wks of age.

Volunteer at Cats Protection Scunthorpe Branch

Without volunteers, Cats Protection Scunthorpe Branch simply wouldn't exist. Our amazing, friendly volunteers are a diverse group with a shared love of cats who fit volunteering around their home lives and personal commitments.

We're always looking to welcome new volunteers to join our brilliant team. As well as meeting great people and making an incredible difference to the cats of Scunthorpe, you'll enjoy practical benefits such as discounted pet insurance.

If you can help us out at local events please contact us. We need people to raise vital funds for our cats and kittens that come into care.

Lost and found cats in Scunthorpe

Have you lost or found a cat in Scunthorpe? We’re here to help you. To report a lost cat, or if you have found a cat in the Scunthorpe area, please send details and, where possible, photos, to enquiries@scunthorpe.cats.org.uk

This register has been set up for people to report any missing cats and also any that have been found straying in the area. Any cat reported to us as missing will be put on the register for a period of approx one year, or until we are notified otherwise.

Please send a photo of your lost cat for publishing on this register, please do so in jpeg format. This will help greatly in tracing your missing pet. Without a photo you have less chance of being reunited with your pet.

WE DO NOT KEEP ALL FOUND CATS IN OUR CARE UNLESS STATED

This is a voluntary service and no charge is made, but any donations to Branch funds would be gratefully accepted.

PLEASE MAKE SURE YOUR CAT IS MICROCHIPPED BY THE DEADLINE OF JUNE 10TH WHEN THE NEW LAW COMES INTO PLACE, TO HELP TO BE REUNITED IF THEY ARE LOST
