Adopt a cat in Scunthorpe

Could you provide a loving home for a cat in the Scunthorpe area? During the process of adopting a cat from us, we’ll consider everything from your potential pet’s personality and how this fits with your lifestyle, to your home environment – creating the perfect match for both cat and owner and the start of a wonderful feline friendship.

Cats available for adoption from Cats Protection Scunthorpe Branch are featured below. To express your interest in a particular cat, please enquire via their listing. If you have any general enquiries about your suitability, or the adoption process, please call us on 0345 260 1450 or email us.

Our adoption fees are £105 per kitten or £95 for an adult cat.

Direct Homings: Cats Protection only advertises cats to help owners find them a new home. We are not responsible for any problems after the cat is rehomed, including health or behaviour issues, which must be dealt with by the original and new owners.

Neutering vouchers are available if requested before booking a vet appointment, preferably at least two weeks in advance, with up to two vouchers per household (£50 for females and £30 for males). If you receive benefits and need help with the cost, please email treasurer@scunthorpe.cats.org.uk with your name, address and details of your cat(s); vouchers are sent once a week, so please allow time for them to arrive.

Volunteer at Cats Protection Scunthorpe

Without volunteers, Cats Protection Scunthorpe Branch simply wouldn't exist. Our amazing, friendly volunteers are a diverse group with a shared love of cats who fit volunteering around their home lives and personal commitments.

We're always looking to welcome new volunteers to join our brilliant team. As well as meeting great people and making an incredible difference to the cats of Scunthorpe, you'll enjoy practical benefits such as discounted pet insurance.

If you can help us out at local events then please contact us. We need people to raise vital funds for our cats and kittens that come into care.

Lost and found cats in Scunthorpe

Have you lost or found a cat in Scunthorpe? We’re here to help you. To report a lost cat, or if you have found a cat in the Scunthorpe area, please send details and photos, to lostandfound@scunthorpe.cats.org.uk

This register allows people to report missing cats and cats found straying in the local area. Missing cats will remain on the register for approximately one year, or until we are notified that they have been reunited with their owner.

Please provide a clear photo of your missing cat in JPEG format, as this greatly increases the chances of them being identified and reunited with you; please note that we do not keep all found cats in our care unless stated otherwise.

This is a voluntary, free service, although donations to Branch funds are gratefully accepted, and we strongly recommend that all cats are microchipped and that owners keep their contact details up to date, particularly after moving home.
