BONNIE & BELLA - Beautiful 6 Month Old Kittens Re-homed to Tenterden
Bonnie & Bella came to Cats Protection when their owner couldn't keep them any longer and the pair quickly went to a new home together in February 2015. Now they are neary three years old and we received this lovely "before & after" photograph and news about their progress. They are settled & happy and love to bring "presents" in from the garden for their new owners!!
POSH - Beautiful Older Cat Re-homed to St Leonard's
Posh was a 15 year old cat who came into CP for rehoming because she was unable to cope with her family's new Jack Russell dogs who wanted to play with her. She was chosen to become a companion cat for her new owner Ivy. Her grandson has just written to us to say:
"Posh settled in amazingly well and spends her days either on Nan's lap or in the sun on the window ledge, she just loves to make a fuss of anyone that visits. Posh really has helped to brighten up my Nans life and is a great companion for her especially as Nan is no longer able to see well enough to knit or read easily. Nan keeps telling us that she can't believe how lucky she is to have such a lovely cat. Thank you for your help, and what a stroke of luck that day!"
MIN MIN MOUSIE (formerly Millie) - Successfully re-homed to Ashford
Millie, a fluffy, 10 month old year old, female kitten was one of 4 kittens born to a stray mother brought into Cats Protection care. Initially the kittens were shy and timid but with careful, patient handling they were ready to rehome. Her new owner has recently written to us to say:
"Just thought you might like an update on Millie, who I adopted from you on Boxing day 2014. I have renamed her Min Min Mousie as she needed a really special name .... I have attached some photos. I just love her, she loves Mr Naughty, my other Cat and is part of my family. Thank you for letting me adopt her."
TREACLE - Successfully re-homed to Hawkinge
Treacle, a 7 year old, long-haired, tortie female had been a stray in the Hothfield area for several weeks over Christmas 2014. This image and message was sent to us by Treacle's new owner a couple of months after she was adopted. It is always lovely for us to hear news and success stories once our cats are settled into their new home.
STANLEY (FORMERLY SANDY) "It couldn't have gone better!"
Stanley was homed to Sally recently and she tells us:
"Stanley and Percy are now firm friends and have been for all but less than a week of their meeting. We can even pick them both up together and have a giant fluffy cuddle, they are so laid back!
"Their friendship consists of quite a large part of the day spent sleeping next to each other somewhere in the house. The rest of the time they are dashing around the place with jaws clamped around necks and fluff flying in the air - quite rough play but not a squeak out of them so they obviously don't hurt each other. After meal times Stan will give Percy a bit of a face wash although I haven't seen Percy reciprocate!
So all in all it has been a real success story, it couldn't have gone better!"
