Adopt a cat

We often have cats in foster care at Weymouth & Dorchester; they do not appear on our website until they are 'ready to rehome' - e.g. have been neutered, vaccinated, microchipped and assessed as suitable for rehoming by a veterinary surgeon.

Many of the cats admitted to this Branch, when 'ready to rehome' are transferred to the Ferndown Homing Centre (so please also look at the Centre's website) enabling the Branch to admit more stray/unwanted cats to our care.

If you'd like more information about the Branch, with a view to visiting and adopting one (or more!) please telephone our Branch Coordinator on 01305 262737 or email enquiries@weymouth.cats.org.uk

The adoption fee per cat is £85 (£105 for kittens of 6 months and younger) - these fees reflect
only a small percentage of the average costs to us, to accommodate and care for a cat prior to rehoming.  Before adoption all cats will be microchipped, mature cats will have been neutered, and depending on their age and circumstance, each cat will have commenced a programme of preventative health vaccination.
