Volunteering

Do you love cats? Do you have a few spare hours each week/month? Do you want to make a difference? Do you enjoy meeting people?

If you answered yes to any of these questions (mostly, do you love cats?) then we'd love to hear from you. Our current volunteer vacancies are listed below. (these are unpaid volunteer roles).

We are always in need of people to help out at events - even a couple of hours helps to assist with selling our merchandise and helping with the Tombola or Lucky Dip etc and it's a fun way to spend a few hours plus you get to look at all the other stalls and enjoy the entertainment on offer.
Weymouth Branch is run by a small team of very hardworking volunteers and we're always looking for new volunteers to help out in many different ways. No previous experience necessary - just a willingness to learn, training will be given.

There are lots of different ways you can help out, perhaps you like meeting new people in which case you could help out at a fundraising event, or maybe you're a whizz with the computer and can help with admin, sometimes we just need someone to take a cat to the vets!

Whatever your skills  or interests, please give us a ring ,we'd love to hear from you. It’s a great way to meet new people who have a common interest (CATS!! ), have some fun and help make a difference to the lives of so many abandoned and unwanted cats and kittens.

The branch is particularly keen to recruit additional volunteers in the following areas:
- Fundraising Team Leader
- Fundraising volunteers
- Fosterers in the Swanage/Wareham area

Fostering is usually carried out from outdoor cabins in the fosterers garden, however, on occasion fosterinig can also be from a designated room in the fosterers house.

If you would like to learn more about fostering, and/or other volunteering opportunities within the Branch please telephone 01305 262737 or email weymouthcatsprotection@gmail.com

Recruitment Support Volunteer

At Cats Protection we help thousands of cats each year and the majority of these success stories are thanks to the dedication and effort of our passionate volunteers. Our recruitment support volunteers help local volunteer groups and teams by promoting volunteer roles, matching passionate cat loving volunteers to roles and informing potential volunteers about the variety of volunteer roles available at Cats Protection.
