Cat adoption in North Wales

Could you provide a loving new home for a cat in North Wales? During the process of adopting a cat from us, we’ll consider everything from your potential pet’s personality and how this fits with your lifestyle, to your home environment – creating the perfect match for both cat and owner and the start of a wonderful feline friendship.

Cats available for adoption from North Wales Cat Centre are featured below. The adoption fee is £85 for an adult cat and £105 for a kitten.

You do not need an appointment to visit the centre, you can visit daily from 11am till 2.30pm (the centre is closed on a Tuesday only). Please note that the cat you are interested in may not be suitable to be adopted by yourself. Checks are carried out on site and, as we offer a first come first serve basis on cat adoptions, the cat may already be reserved when you visit. We cannot reserve a cat/kitten over the phone or via email, you have to visit the centre and meet the cat/kitten in person before an adoption process can take place.

Ready to adopt? Simply visit the centre between 11am and 2.30pm daily (Tuesday we are closed) and bring along proof of address with you.

Have another cat or dog at home?
It might be worthwhile bringing a blanket or cloth with the scent of your pet with you to the centre.

Living in rented accommodation?
You will need to have a letter from your landlord, that they consent to you having a cat in the home. If you rent through a housing association or council, we will need to see a copy of your tenancy agreement to confirm you are allowed a cat in the home. Please bring this paperwork along with you when visiting the cat centre and ensure you have this in place before you express an interest in adopting a cat. You can find out more about how to go about this with our Purrfect Landlords campaign.

Not ready to adopt just yet but still wish to visit?
You may visit the centre and can enjoy a stroll through our wonderful gardens. You will be able to see the cats in their pens but you will not be permitted into a cat pen.

Before you go through to the cats/kittens, we ask that you read through our disclaimer to ensure 'we put cats first'.
