We're here to support cats and kittens in Chesterfield & District, covering postcodes: S18, S40, S41, S42, S43, S44, S45.

* PLEASE NOTE FROM JULY 1st 2025 - DUE TO OUR LIMITED BRANCH FUNDS WE WILL ONLY BE OFFERING 10 VOUCHERS PER MONTH - THIS VOUCHER WILL BE FOR THE AMOUNT OF £45 TOWARDS PAYMENT FOR THE NEUTERING AND MICROCHIPPING OF YOUR CAT OR KITTEN. 

One of our aims at Cats Protection is to reduce unwanted pregnancies in the cat community, as such we offer neutering vouchers although these may be limited to spend at our participating local vets.

If you receive government benefits, such as universal credit, income support, housing benefit, pension credit, council tax benefit, employment and support allowance or job seekers allowance then please apply for a voucher using the link below.

We also include feral or stray cats.

YOU WILL BE ASKED TO PRODUCE UP TO DATE PAPERWORK AT THE VETS SHOWING WHAT GOVERNMENT BENEFITS YOU RECEIVE TO USE THESE VOUCHERS.  - THIS PAPERWORK MUST SHOW YOUR FULL NAME AND ADDRESS AND BE DATED WITHIN THE LAST THREE MONTHS - Please note that vouchers are issued at the discretion of the branch. To use our limited funds to help as many people as possible, and to promote responsible cat ownership, we must place limits on the number of vouchers we can issue. If you have already been supported with vouchers in the last 12 months, we may not be able to help you again at this time.

Please be aware that it can take up to two weeks to receive this voucher.

Please note that neutering vouchers can only be used at the following vets - Vets4Pets Ravenside and Chapel House Hady Hill and Staveley.

 

Run by a small team of dedicated, cat-loving volunteers, we're passionate about improving the lives of cats and kittens in Chesterfield & District, working to find loving new homes for local cats in our care, and lost and found cats, as well as general education and awareness within the Chesterfield & District area. Our adoption fees are £85 per cat and £105 per kitten under 6 months old

 Could you provide a loving new home for a cat in Chesterfield & District? During the process of adopting a cat from us, we’ll consider everything from your potential pet’s personality and how this fits with your lifestyle, to your home environment – creating the perfect match for both cat and owner and the start of a wonderful feline friendship.

Our cat adoption fees are as follows:

  • Cat - £85
  • Kittens up to 6 months - £105

All the cats we home will have had flea and worm treatments, will be micro-chipped, neutered where possible (when age allows) and vaccinated. Kittens under 4 months old will not be neutered, but would be expected to be neutered by the prospective owner – a voucher for the neutering will be given at the time of adoption.
