Welcome to Cats Protection Northumbria Branch
We are a small team of dedicated volunteers passionate about supporting cats and kittens in Northumbria.
Our work focuses on improving their lives, finding loving homes for cats in our care, assisting with neutering and lost-and-found cases, and raising awareness through education across the area.

Why should I have my cat neutered?
Neutering your cats protects them against illnesses such as sexually transmitted diseases, womb infections, and more. It also helps to prevent cats from wandering in search of mates.
Female cats can become quite distressed if they are frequently 'in season'. Additionally, cats can reproduce often and from a young age.
Kittens can be neutered from 4 months old.
