Feature

We urgently require volunteers to take on the following Roles so that we can establish a working branch in Giffnock and the surrounding area.

Fundraisers  - . We need enthusiastic people to help with raising funds so that we can

bring cats in and support them in our care.

Cat & Kitten Fosterers.
Our branch cannot operate without  cats in our care being looked after by volunteer fosterers on a short-term basis until a permanent home can be found. Fostering is a very rewarding experience and the branch provides all the food, litter, toys, scratch posts and covers vet bills - all we ask is for your time to care for the cat. Please note that your own transport is essential when fostering to enable you to take cats to the vets for routine vaccinations, etc. All the cats in our care must be looked after to Cats Protection standards.

Drivers. Drivers are required to collect cats from their old homes, take them to their new homes, take deliveries to food & litter to fosterers and to take cats to the vet.

Home Visitors. Needed in all areas of Giffnock – if you are available to do one visit a month , it would be great to hear from you! Home visits are vital to access what type of cat would best settle in a particular home.  This role entails arranging a convenient time to visit the prospective owner within their home and with the aid of a checklist assessing whether the home is suitable for an indoor/outdoor cat/kitten.

There are always other roles available, so no matter how much time you can offer us, please get in touch as we appreciate any assistance which will contribute to starting the Giffnock branch. Then we can work together to help cats throughout the area.

I look forward to hearing from you.

Many Thanks
