Adopt a cat
ATTENTION: Please visit this page to learn about our hands-free homing policy.Due to COVID-19 we are only rehoming in and around the Horsham area so please do not enquire if you live outside this area. Please note that we are getting a lot of interest currently and cannot respond to all enquiries once a match is found. If we think you are a good match then our homing officer should be in contact within 72 hours.
Sadly, we always have many cats from all walks of life looking for their forever home.
We have new cats arriving every day, so even if you don’t see a cat that you think would suit you, please get in touch. We can take your details and notify you when we have the perfect cat for you – it won't be long. We also provide four weeks of free pet insurance, neutering, vaccinations and micro-chipping as well as worming and flea treating for all of our cats.
Cats Protection asks adopters for an adoption fee when re-homing a cat, but if you feel able to make a donation on top of this, this is always very gratefully received. Before starting the process of adopting one of our cats, please take a few minutes to consider the following:
- You could be committing to your new cat for up to 20 years. Can you offer continued care and stability?
- Veterinary fees can be expensive, and you should expect to visit the vet at least once a year for a health check and vaccinations. Other preventative healthcare measures include flea and worming treatments (usually every month and every three months respectively). Pet insurance will help cover the cost of any major illness or emergency treatment
