Have you space in your home and in your heart to help some of our elderly cats? As your local branch of Cats Protection, (Inverurie and Alford) we are often asked to take in elderly cats when their owner has gone into sheltered accommodation. It is stressful enough for the owner but can be worse for the cat, total disruption of their lifestyle and with the best will in the world, impossible to explain to the cat. We have limited space to foster cats until a new home is offered, and unfortunately elderly cats are often overlooked, hence this appeal. Can you, or could, you make available a spare room to foster a cat, or even take one on as a long term foster cat. We provide food and litter, and while in Cats Protection care pay any vet bills incurred.

Branch team leader volunteer
At Cats Protection we help thousands of cats and kittens each year thanks to our dedicated and passionate volunteer groups. We have over 250 branches across the UK, all of which help our feline friends in different ways. Branches take in stray and abandoned cats and ensure they receive the veterinary care and attention they deserve, help raise funds, promote neutering and help spread cat welfare messages. Our branch team leader volunteers lead their local team by supporting and managing volunteers within their group, maintaining communications with both volunteers and staff, and helping promote a positive and professional image of Cats Protection.
