National Cat Awards 2019 - entries now open!

The competition to find 2019’s most remarkable moggy is now open and features five categories:

• Hero Cat – Cats that save the day
• Most Caring Cat – Cats that positively impact a person’s health or wellbeing
• Furr-ever Friends – Tales of friendship between children and cats
• Outstanding Rescue Cat – Fabulous felines adopted from animal charities
• PURINA® Better Together – Celebrating the special bond that has transformed and enriched the lives of both a feline and human
Category winners are then in the running to be named National Cat of the Year.  The awards ceremony, being held at The Savoy in London on Thursday 8 August and sponsored by PURINA®, also sees the return of the Star Team Award which invites CP volunteers and staff to celebrate a Cats Protection volunteer team which has brought about a particularly positive result for cat welfare.
Entries for the five cat categories can be made at www.cats.org.uk/national-cat-awards and for the Star Team Award by emailing media.office@cats.org.uk with your name, address, email address and phone number, the name of your volunteer group and 200 words about the activity you would like to celebrate.
The competition closes at noon on Friday 8 March, best of luck!
