Adopt a cat

Homing update

During the lockdown restrictions surrounding the coronavirus (COVID-19) mean we are operating a hands-free homing approach for some of our cats. We have in place extensive procedures that are enabling carefully controlled rehoming without putting people at risk of infection, and without a negative impact on cat welfare This is to ensure that we can continue to help as many cats as possible at this time by matching them with their perfect family. If you’re interested in adopting a cat from us please take a look at the specific personalities and requirements of each of our cats as described in their profile.  You can register your interest in a specific cat by clicking on the "contact us about this cat" button on their profile page. Please be aware we may receive multiple enquiries about the cats so not all enquiries will lead to a successful adoption. We will be happy to tell you more about a specific cat on request so you can Adopt with Confidence.

If we think you’re a match, we’ll give you a call or email you to discuss the cat and potentially reserve them for you! At this stage we will ask for proof of your address and landlord consent (if applicable).

Once the reservation has been placed, we’ll send you the cat’s paperwork via email for you to review and sign. We will be able to finalise the Adoption once this paperwork is received.

The paperwork consists of a Medical Summary which along with veterinary information regarding your new cat, documents their diet and flea and worm treatments, PetPlan cover note along with Terms and conditions for your free one month of insurance cover. We’ll ask you to send back the signed forms. There will also be options to purchase supplies, join our centre membership schemes and make a donation. We will then take the £80 adoption fee by card payment over the phone. We are unable to take any other method of payment at this time. We will then arrange a time and day for you to finally meet your new family friend, all carried out in a contactless safe way.

Due to the developing situation with COVID-19 we are taking some extra precautions at this time to try and ensure that we keep our visitors and Centre safe so we can continue to care for cats.  The centre is currently closed to visitors but we are homing a small number of cats via hands free homing. If you would like to  adopt a cat  that is featured on our website please express your interest by clicking on the cats contact button.
