**BRANCH UPDATE 2021**

In order to help more cats and kittens we always need more Fosterers, so if you have a spare room and would love to make a difference in helping our feline friends, take a look at our Volunteering page for full details.

Our popular Snip & Chip Voucher events are currently run remotely, so watch out for more details on our Events page.

Our West Kirby Charity Shop always needs more Shop Assistant Volunteers to help out either on the shop floor or behind the scenes. If you are interested please check out our Volunteer page for more details. We also welcome more good quality donations of mens and ladies clothes, accessories, bags and shoes.

If you urgently need our help to rehome your cat please call the national helpline 03000 12 12 12 and they will liaise with our regional management as to whether we or another branch / adoption centre are in a position to help. Please only do this if necessary, for example if you or the cats will be without a home in the near future, or if there is a major health issue involved.

If your cat needs urgent veterinary treatment please call your vet in the first instance and your veterinary team will be able to triage the case over the phone. They will likely then offer a phone, video or face to face consultation dependent on the urgency / need for the patient to be seen. Please make sure you are aware of your veterinary practice's opening hours and consult protocols at this time.

WELCOME TO CATS PROTECTION NORTH WIRRAL BRANCH

North Wirral Cats Protection is one of a network of over 250 volunteer run branches and 31 Cat Adoption Centres covering the UK. Branches do not have a shelter facility but are managed by volunteers who work from their own homes.

Our vision is a world where every cat is treated with kindness and an understanding of its needs.

Our main activities are neutering, to prevent unwanted litters from being born and becoming the abandoned cats of tomorrow; homing, both of cats in branch foster care and through our direct homing scheme; and education, on the importance of neutering, microchipping and other aspects of cat care.

We also have a charity shop located on 15 The Crescent Street (West Kirby), which supports the branch by raising vital funds.
