A message for our amazing supporters and friends

Please be advised that our North London Adoption Centre site is now closed for intake.

As you may know, the age and condition of our much-loved site on Junction Road, plus our commitment to high welfare standards for our cats, has meant we've operated with only eight pens for some time.
After a detailed survey of the site and a consultation process with our team members, we've sadly concluded that due to its age and location, it would not be cost effective to bring the centre up to our high standards and therefore will close to intake of cats on 30 June, with the centre closing fully in the weeks that follow.

However, we’re pleased to share the news that construction of a new North East London site is being planned and in the meantime, our network of dedicated fosterer volunteers and our two large centres in Harrow and Mitcham are equipped with excellent facilities and more pens to satisfy the welfare needs of cats in London.

Many of our employees and volunteers have now been redeployed to local centres like Harrow and Mitcham as well as our volunteer-run branches. We are also starting a new North London Volunteer Team, managed by our regional Volunteer Team Leader, which will allow volunteers in the local area to continue to support the community here.  If you are interested in volunteering with us, use any of our contact methods here

After the 30 June we are winding down our operations at the centre and have stopped taking in further cats for rehoming. We are urging the public not to bring cats to, or leave cats at the centre as there will no longer be the team members or facilities available to take them in.  Please use to contact your next nearest Cats Protection branch or centre, or contact other local organisations for support.
For advice and support, please visit our website or call our dedicated National Information Line team on 03000 12 12 12. Our Information Helpline and Supporter Services (option 3) teams are open Monday-Friday 9am - 4.30pm.

We’d like to thank our wonderful community for their support over 30 incredible years at Junction Road.
