Adopt a cat
** New adoption procedures are in place that include a Home Visit via Video Call. Adoption paperwork and proof of address is completed via email. Once everything has been completed and a cat matched with adopter; the Adoption Fee is paid in advance via a bank transfer to the branch. It is not currently possible to meet the cats in care, but videos will be provided, and follow-up calls after adoption will be made to make sure you and your new furry friend are happy and settled **
Our Facebook page usually has extra photos, videos and cat information too.
All cats taken into the care of Cats Protection are vet checked to ensure they are healthy, neutered (if they are old enough), microchipped, worm/flea treatment carried-out, at least the first part of their vaccination done, and assessed for personality before being considered for rehoming.
We evaluate your needs too and try to ensure that we find you your perfect partner. After all, we hope you'll be together for a very long time!
** Please note: All potential adopters require a Video Call Home Visit first. Please organise this with us even though you haven't seen a cat that matches you yet. This means that you have everything in place should a cat come into care and can be instantly matched to your circumstances. **
If you have never owned a cat before and are concerned about taking one on, we will be happy to give you as much advice and support as you need. We have HEAPS of experience that we will gladly pass on. Please also visit our main website for information on welcoming a new cat to your home: www.cats.org.uk/cat-care
If you wish to rehome one of our cats, please select their profile and click on ''Contact us about this cat'' to complete an application form. Applications are considered before we choose the most suitable match for the cat's needs.

Cats Protection asks for an adoption fee when rehoming a cat. If you feel able to make a donation on top of the fee, that would of course, be very gratefully received. Thank you for your decision to rehome a CP cat.
