SootyReservedOxford & District

Hello, my name is Sooty and I am about four years old. Sadly, I managed to get myself separated from my family when I was nearly 9 months. I was on holiday with them in a motorhome at a campsite in Oxford when one night I managed to escape as I wanted to explore the big outdoors. This was silly of me as when I went back the family had moved on, although they had tried very hard to look for me. Since then, I have not had a home to call my own. One day I found myself a warm spot in a greenhouse in a garden. The residents were very kind to me and gave me food and shelter. They also got in touch with Cats Protection, who came and collected me and discovered I was microchipped. My owners, who live in Northampton, were contacted but sadly things had moved on for them and their family and they were not able to take me back. It was decided I would be better off in a new forever home. As a result of all this I can come across as a bit timid because I have had to fend for myself for the past 3 years. However, if you give me time and space, I would be a loving companion who would like to sit near you and even sleep on your bed! I like to watch what’s going on from a distance and I’m quite happy to be left alone during the day and then provide my new owners with companionship when they come home. I have been thoroughly checked over by a vet who said I was in remarkable health considering! I am neutered, microchipped, vaccinated and have had a flea/worm treatment so I am all prepared to move on to my forever home. If you could find it in your heart to be that new special person please contact Cats Protection as soon as you can.
