Cats of the Month for August 2026: LUNA and CLEO

Luna and Cleo, mother and daughter, are our Cats of the Month for August. Five-year-old Luna (with a moustache) and her daughter, three-year-old Cleo (with a white face) have always lived together, in a household with other cats and a Labrador. Luna is a great one for washing other cats! When they first came into our care, they were very timid and scared, because it was such a big change, but they are settling down, and are absolute sweethearts. They would love a safe garden to play in, maybe with placid other cats and/or a very cat-savvy dog

Yes, kitten season has well and truly arrived. We have 14 kittens in care right now, with more coming in, and they will be ready over the next few weeks. Some are singletons, some are bonded siblings. Please only enquire if you are in a position to take a kitten (or kittens!) on immediately – we cannot hold them for you because of holidays or similar. When they’re ready to go, they need to go! If your life has a kitten-shaped hole right now and you have the time to devote to bringing them up at this crucial stage of their lives, contact us.

Thankfully, the tiny warrior is now happy in his new home, but the surgery has left us with a hefty bill. If you find it in your heart to help us clear the debt, we would be very grateful, and so would Pluto and all the other cats. In July, we rehomed 3 cats and 4 kittens.
We currently have 30 cats in care, and 14 waiting to come into care. WE NEED MORE FOSTERERS!!
So far, in 2026, we have rehomed 66 cats and 19 kittens.
We do not have a rehoming centre - all cats in care are living in the homes of our gallant fosterers.

Run by a small team of dedicated, cat-loving volunteers, we're passionate about improving the lives of cats and kittens in Oxford & District, working to find loving new homes for local cats in our care, and lost and found cats, as well as general education and awareness within the Oxford & District area,covering postcodes: OX1, OX10, OX11, OX12, OX13, OX14, OX2, OX3, OX33, OX4, OX44, OX49.

Adopt a cat in Oxford & District

We have lots of cats waiting for loving homes! Adopting an adult cat is just as nice as getting a kitten - their personalities are already developed and ready to open up under your loving care to give years of fun and joy. Experienced owners often love to give an elder cat happy twilight years. Have a look at what cats are currently auditioning for new caregivers!

We also have cats suitable for farms, barns and gardens! Not every cat wants the indoor life, so if you have a position available for a working cat, please contact us.

There is an adoption fee of £100 per cat or £120 per kitten. All are micro-chipped, vaccinated, treated for parasites and come with 4 weeks PetPlan insurance. All cats and kittens over 5 months are neutered. A voucher towards the cost of neutering younger kittens will be sent to the vet of your choice when the kitten is ready. There may be a small shortfall at some vets, payable by the new owner. If the cat or kitten has not yet had a second, booster vaccination, which must be done 3 weeks after the first, the adopter must arrange and pay for it.
