Welcome to Cats Protection Oxford & District Branch
Cat of the Month for APRIL 2026: WITHEY
One-year-old Withey is a sensitive little lad, and picks up atmosphere and how humans behave around him, so he needs an experienced, patient, loving owner with a calm, quiet home and peaceful lifestyle as he builds trust and confidence. He's been through a lot in his little life, but with careful, loving care, he will blossom. Withey very much appreciates churro-type treats, and visibly chills and relaxes when soothing classical music is playing. Do you have room for Withey in your heart?
The kittens are coming!
Yes, kitten season has well and truly arrived. We have several kittens looking for homes right now, and others will be ready over the next few weeks. Some are singletons, some are bonded siblings. Please only enquire if you are in a position to take a kitten (or kittens!) on immediately – we cannot hold them for you because of holidays or similar. When they’re ready to go, they need to go! If your life has a kitten-shaped hole right now and you have the time to devote to bringing them up at this crucial stage of their lives, contact us.
Do you remember a brave little kitten called Pluto that had to have his eye removed? Thankfully, the tiny warrior is now happy in his new home, but the surgery has left us with a hefty bill. If you find it in your heart to help us clear the debt, we would be very grateful, and so would Pluto and all the other cats. In May, we rehomed 3 cats and 4 kittens.
We currently have 27 cats in care, and 22 waiting to come into care. WE NEED MORE FOSTERERS!!
So far, in 2026, we have rehomed 54 cats and 11 kittens.
We do not have a rehoming centre - all cats in care are living in the homes of our gallant fosterers.
Run by a small team of dedicated, cat-loving volunteers, we're passionate about improving the lives of cats and kittens in Oxford & District, working to find loving new homes for local cats in our care, and lost and found cats, as well as general education and awareness within the Oxford & District area, covering postcodes: OX1, OX10, OX11, OX12, OX13, OX14, OX2, OX3, OX33, OX4, OX44, OX49.
