There are lots of ways that you can get involved in supporting the charity, from a few hours on an occasional weekend collecting at a tin shake, to editing our newsletters, to fostering a cat in a pen in your garden or a designated room in your home

You will have the opportunity to make a real difference to cats and kittens in South Wirral

You will be able to develop new skills, expand your knowledge and use your existing expertise

You will meet new people, make new friendships and work as part of a dedicated team

You will become a key member in the UK’s largest feline charity
We are currently looking to recruit the following volunteer roles:

Fosterers: to look after cats and kittens whilst they are waiting to be adopted
Fundraisers: to help at events and with collections
Newsletter Editor: to prepare, write and publish our quarterly newsletter
Trap-Neuter Return Volunteer: to help trap, neuter and return cats in accordance with CP's policies and procedures
Administration Support: Using our administration systems to log cats coming into care and cats being adopted, responding to email and telephone enquiries regarding cats coming into care.

Donating your time and skills will make a huge difference to every cat in our care, so please have a look at all of our volunteering opportunities and let us know if you are interested in volunteering with the South Wirral branch. You can read in more detail about these volunteer opportunities by clicking on the left hand menu at the top of the page. Cat Admissions Volunteer

Our cat admissions volunteers ensure the smooth running of our admissions process, helping our volunteer groups and teams admit cats into our care in the most effective and stress-free way possible for both people and cats. This role is undertaken from your own home. This could be the perfect volunteer role if you have administration experience, a passion for cats, or both! Without the passionate and committed teams of volunteers across Cats Protection, we wouldn’t be able to help the thousands of cats and kittens each year that rely on us for help.

Cat Welfare Team Leader Volunteer

Without the passionate and committed teams of volunteers across Cats Protection we wouldn’t be able to help the thousands of cats and kittens each year that rely on us for help. Our Cat Welfare Team Leaders have the important role of coordinating, encouraging and supporting teams of fosterer volunteers and cat care volunteers. They help make sure volunteers with direct cat care roles are happy and confident and provide advice and guidance when needed. This incredible teamwork means we are able to help more cats and kittens in need.
