About the Branch

Taunton and Wellington Branch provides help for cats and kittens in both of these Somerset towns and the surrounding rural area and villages.

The financial constraints of life today have undoubtedly contributed to the increasing numbers of cats requiring our help and consequently we are often not able to respond to requests for help as quickly as we would wish. We also would welcome the opportunity to increase the number of foster pens in our area and if you think you might be able to help, please see the information on our  Volunteer page.

Fundraising plays a vital role for the Branch and over the years many activities have taken place to this end. We now have two shops in the area, one in Taunton and the other in Wellington.  The funds raised by both of these shops all goes to our Branch and enables us to continue our work for cats and kittens.  Why not pop in - 18 Fore Street, TA1 1JA in Taunton just by the Market House, and at 19, South Street, Wellington TA21 8NR.  You will be very welcome and there are lots of lovely goods, both new and donated to purchase!

You may in the past have provided a home for one of our cats, and feel you could offer just a few hours a year to help us with fundraising. We would love to add your details to our list of volunteers upon whom we can call to assist at an event or function. Please contact us if you would like to help by phoning 03452 602 397 or go to our Volunteer page

You can also support the Branch by becoming a ‘Friend’ and for a modest annual sum you will receive our regular newsletter ‘Felines’ and know that your donations are helping cats in the area. For more details and contact information please contact us at tandwcats@gmail.com .
