What we do

The Teesside Branch of Cats Protection was established 1978. We take in unwanted and stray cats and kittens.

After a veterinary check-up, all cats/kittens (over the age of 4 months) are neutered, vaccinated and microchipped.
Kittens are vaccinated at eight weeks. (first Vacc)

All the cats and kittens in our care are fostered by a small, dedicated group of volunteers.
Some have a spare room and some have pens in their gardens.
A home visit to the prospective new home will be made.
Prospective new owners will be invited to visit and see cats/kittens prior to a decision to rehome.
Cats/kittens are always delivered to their new home.

Adoption fees are as follows:
Adult cats £60
Kittens £60
All cats and kittens have been fully vaccinated, neutered, (at the correct age) and microchipped

The cost of this, to the branch, is £130 to £150 so any donations over and above the fee are gratefully received and this allows us to continue our work in the future to help more needy cats and kittens.
