Home visits help us make the best match between the cats in our care and their new families.
In order to make sure that the cats in our care have the best possible chance in their new homes, we always undertake a short home visit prior to adoption. By doing so we are able to ensure that adopted cats are suited to their new location and situation and we advise the new owners as to any particular steps they may need to take with their new feline companion.
Are you a good communicator with a tactful nature who is happy and confident talking about cats and their care? If so, perhaps you would like to join us as a home visitor?
Our home visitors can give advice on:
- how to introduce a cat or kitten to its new home, its new family and other pets
- the importance of neutering, and when to arrange to have your kitten neutered
- feeding and cat behavioural issues
- the responsibilities of cat healthcare, including taking preventative measures (flea and worm treatments)
