Cats Protection Brighton & District Branch is run by a team of committeed volunteers each with their own specific role according to their interests, time availability and skills. We mainly work from our own homes meeting up as a whole branch four times a year with the occasional social event.

All new volunteers will join a team and be supported through an induction process by a team leader. There are opportunities for training both online and in workshops at the National Cat Centre in Chelwood Gate.

If you have time to spare and would love to help cats please consider whether any of the roles that we are currently recruiting to would suit you.  Further information about these roles are listed below and you may express an interest in any of these online.

If you do not see a role here that is suitable you may still express an interest in volunteering by emailing  coordinator@brighton.cats.org.uk.  or sending us ending us an online enquiry.

Pen Fosterers

We are particularly keen to recruit fadditional pen fosterers  and welcome visits to our admissions pens in the Surrenden/Varndean area to meet with a current outdoor fosterer and a feline guest.

Email on coordinator@brighton.cats.org.uk to arrange a visit to our admissions pen.

Cheer Squad Volunteer

As a charity, we are only able to help thousands of cats and kittens each year thanks to the donations we receive from generous members of the public. Fundraising events are a great source of income for the charity. As a Cheer Squad Volunteer, you will support Cats Protection’s event participants make it through their challenge by cheering them on at selected cheering points along event routes. You will also be instrumental in raising awareness and representing the charity.
