We’re here for cats and kittens in Brighton & Hove, covering postcodes: BN1, BN2, BN3, BN41 and  BN42.

Run by a small team of dedicated, cat-loving volunteers, we’re passionate about improving the lives of cats and kittens in Brighton & Hove, working to find loving new homes for local cats in our care, offering financial support with neutering, and lost and found cats, as well as general education and awareness within  Brighton & Hove. Volunteer at Cats Protection Brighton & Hove

Cats Protection Brighton & Hove is one of over 200 volunteer led teams across the UK that are run entirely by volunteers from their homes. Our volunteers take in cats in need and ensure they receive the veterinary care and attention required to get them ready for adoption. We also help raise funds to directly help cats in our care, facilitate the neutering of thousands of cats every year, support cat owners and help spread cat welfare messages.

Why should I volunteeer?

By volunteering with us, you’ll become part of an amazing community of cat lovers who, through meaningful contributions in a variety of roles, make life better for cats and those who care for them

Where would I be based?

You would be volunteering remotely in the comfort of your own home. The rest of the team is usually based locally and there will normally be opportunities to meet up socially to get to know each other. 

What will I be doing ?

We welcome all volunteers who have a passion for cats, a bit of spare time and commitment. The branch volunteer roles are varied, so you can pick whichever appeals to you the most within the following teams:

  • Finance, Admin & General Support Team
  • Cat Welfare Team
  • Cat Adoption Team
  • Fundraising Team
  • Publicity Team 
  • Supporting Cat Owners Team 

How do I apply?

If you’d like to volunteer in our branch, please request an application form by emailing branchteamleader@brighton.cats.org.uk complete the application form describing the type of role that would suit you. We will then invite you for a chat when a suitable role at the branch becomes available. 

You need to be aged 18 or over to volunteer in our branch.

Have you lost or found a cat iin Brighton & Hove? We’re here to help you. To report a lost cat, or if you have found a cat in the Brighton area, please email us. 

To offer the best chance of reuniting cats with owners, we need as much information as possible, including digital photos or a high-quality print. We share lost and found cats with the local community over on our dedicated facebook page
