Why Neuter Your Cat?

There are a number of reasons why you should neuter your cat or otherwise known as getting the snip, done etc

Financial - neutered cats cost less to feed and are less likely to get sick or injured saving you money.  If the female has a litter of kittens there will be a financial cost which will be food and veterinary care as sometimes medical problems do arise.

Social - there are too many unwanted cats in the UK; we dont need more.  Neutering also reduces cats likelihood to roam, fight, spray and otherwise be a nuisance.  They will be less territorial and so less likely to get into fights.

Health-improving - neutered cats are generally healthier

Diseases -   Diseases such as Feline Immunodeficiency Virus (FIV) and Feline Leukaemia Virus (FeLV) can be transmitted through bites and scratches when fighting.

Early neutering - we encourage early neutering from the age of 4 months.  We do not want kittens having kittens.

To find out if you are eligible to apply for the scheme to obtain a voucher towards the cost of neutering please telephone 0345 647 2187.
