Welcome to Cats Protection Fenland Neutering Branch

Fenland Neutering Branch is a Cats Protection Branch set up to help people on Means Tested Benefits and Low Incomes to neuter their cats and to support the neutering of feral cats through Trap Neuter Return work.

You can learn more about feral cats (free-living, unsocialised cats) in Cats Protection's Feral Guide, available to view here

If you’ve made a new addition to your family by getting a cat or kitten, you’ll need to make sure you’re not going to land yourself with a whole litter of kittens. Often cats are neutered too late in life which unfortunately contributes to the number of unwanted cats in the UK. For the health and welfare of your pet and if you don’t want to find yourself with extra cats and extra cost, we recommend that your pet cat is neutered at four months of age or younger. It is important that the procedure is done before the cat begins puberty, preventing any unplanned pregnancies.

We support thousands of people with cat neutering advice and financial assistance each year. As one of our key aims, we promote neutering as a safe and painless way to control the cat population. Aside from this, it is an effective way to reduce your household costs as caring for a mother and kittens is becoming increasingly expensive. There are unfortunately thousands of unwanted cats and kittens in the UK and neutering is the only effective way to reduce this growing number.

Fenland Neutering Branch is dedicated to help with cost of neutering.  We have no cats in care, and we are unable to take in unwanted cats or help with other enquiries.

We cover postcode areas PE13, PE14,PE15, PE16 & PE26.

If you need help with anything other than neutering, please contact our National Helpline.
