Welcome to our website

Our branch started in 2001 and covers the four postal districts of EX21, EX22, EX38 and EX39 and includes the towns of Bideford, Great Torrington, Holsworthy, Hartland and Highhampton. The branch has a dedicated team of volunteers who are passionate about cat welfare and give up their time to care for cats in our local area.  We don't have a homing centre instead all cats are cared for by a team of fosterers in outside pens or their own homes until loving forever homes can be found.

In these challenging times with the developing situation with coronavirus (COVID-19), Cats Protection is taking extra precautions to keep our cats, volunteers, employees and the public safe and continue to provide high levels of care for the cats in our centres and branches as well as helpful welfare advice to cat owners.  We are delighted to be able to now offer Hands-Free Homing - read our handy guide to find out how this works.
