Hands-free homing

Due to COVID-19 our homing process has changed in line with Government and DEFRA guidelines. Unfortunately until further lockdown restrictions are lifted, at this time cats cannot be visited, although it may be possible to arrange a “virtual” viewing with the fosterer.

Procedures are in place to enable carefully controlled rehoming without putting people at undue risk of infection, and without a negative effect on cat welfare. We can't guarantee that you'll be able to adopt a cat at this time but we'll be ensuring that all our cats are matched with potential owners who can provide the environment and lifestyle required by each individual cat. Below you'll find descriptions and photos of the cats in their profiles to help you decide which one might be for you.

If you are interested in homing one of our cats, send us the contact form on the cat's profile page giving as much information as possible. If we think you're a match we'll contact you either via e-mail or a telephone call to discuss the cat. At this stage we will ask for proof of your address and (if applicable) landlord permission for a cat. Once these have been received we'll arrange a FaceTime, WhatsApp or phone call to carry out a 'virtual' home visit, where we'll go through important information about settling a cat in and cat care, and you'll be able to show us around your home and garden. If all is well we'll reserve the cat for you and proceed to the adoption.

Once your cat has been reserved, we'll send the adoption paperwork via email for you to review and sign. We'll be able to finalise the adoption once this paperwork has been returned and the adoption fee of £70 has been paid. The paperwork consists of an adoption form and Pet Plan Terms for your cat's free one-month insurance cover.

The adoption fee will need to be paid via bank transfer, we will advise our bank details and once payment has been received, one of our drivers will bring your new cat to your home, following the hands-free procedure. The driver will explain how it works when they call to arrange a time for delivering your cat.

After the adoption we'll follow up with you to see how your cat is settling in. This starts from the day the cat is delivered - we'll check in with you at 3, 7 and 28 days from arrival. However, we're only a phone call or email away, so please don't hesitate to get in touch for any advice or help you might need.

We have decided not to increase our adoption fee but we are incurring additional costs in delivering the cats; should you wish to make an additional donation to help cover these costs it will be very gratefully received.
