Here for every cat in the Medway Towns
Cats Protection Medway Towns Neutering Branch is formed of volunteers who aim to protect cats by offering the local community neutering assistance and help and advice on cat ownership. If you’re looking for cats needing homes in Kent, please visit the Bredhurst Adoption Centre where you can find all the information you need.

Cats Protection Bredhurst Bazaar
On Sunday 19th June, some of our Cats Protection Medway Towns volunteers teamed up with other local branches to help to raise awareness and funding, hosting a bazaar in Bredhurst. We ran our own bric-a-brac stall, raising vital funds through the sales, and had the opportunity to speak to visitors about cats and the work Cats Protection does. We were also joined by Rehman Chishti, the Gillingham and Rainham MP. Chishti introduced the Cats Welfare Bill in the House of Commons in 2018, having been inspired by local animal charities, so it was great to see him support the event. A massive thank you to everyone who attended, and helped to make the event a success.

Help with neutering costs
Cats Protection champions that the only way to reduce the number of unwanted cats is to have more neutered. If you need help to cover the cost of neutering your cat, please refer to our Neutering section. Here you will find helpful advice and details of our means-tested neutering assistance scheme.

Volunteer for us
Cats Protection relies on the kindness and generosity of volunteers to help 500 cats every day. In turn, our volunteers can develop new skills, meet new people, and help to protect more cats. Check out our current Medway Towns volunteering vacancies to see how you can get involved.

Coronavirus (COVID-19) and cats
Can cats catch coronavirus (COVID-19)? Can I take my cat to the vet? Do I need to keep my cat indoors? We’ve put together answers to some of the more common questions about coronavirus here.
