Adopt a cat
Due to the developing situation with COVID-19 we are taking some extra precautions at this time to try and ensure that we keep our visitors and volunteers safe so we can continue to care for cats.
Can you give any of these beautiful cats and kittens a new home?
We do our best to make sure that the cat you adopt is the right cat for you, your family and your lifestyle. When adopting from Cats Protection you can be reassured that our cats and kittens have been examined by a vet, micro-chipped, vaccinated and neutered (if old enough) and also come with four weeks' free PetPlan insurance.
Please complete the enquiry form with information about you and your home beneath the cat(s) you are interested in. A member of our Homing Team will get in touch and arrange for you to meet the cat or kitten at the fosterer's home. Part of the adoption process is a home visit. A Home Visitor will discuss with you the needs of your new cat, how to manage the new arrival, offer advice on introductions to other pets that may live with you, and check the area around your home.
All of the cats in our care receive a full medical examination in preparation for being re-homed, including a full course of vaccinations and flea and worming treatments. Cats are also microchipped and registered to their new owners, and we include four weeks free Pet Plan pet insurance with each adoption.
All adult cats are neutered in our care, whilst kittens under a specific age remain un-neutered (as per veterinarian guidance) and are re-homed along with a n
eutering voucher to help the new owner meet the cost of having their pet neutered at the earliest appropriate age. Adoption is subject to a home visit by our re-homing officer, and the payment of our relevant adoption fee.
Included with each adoption:
- Medical Examination
- Treated for Fleas and Worms
- Microchip ID and Registration
- Pet Plan Insurance - 4 Weeks Free Cover
- Adult Cats - £80, Neutered
- Kittens - £90 plus a Neutering Voucher
- Kittens over 6 months £80, Neutered
We often have more cats than we advertise here. Please contact our Homing Co-ordinator for more details firstname.lastname@example.org
