NEW Hands-Free Homing:

Due to the developing situation with COVID-19 we are taking some extra precautions at this time to try and ensure that we keep our visitors and volunteers safe so we can continue to care for cats.  The Branch is currently closed for viewings but all admissions and adoptions will be carried out with a hands free homing process. The details are below.

Our new hands-free homing process

We’re keen to help as many cats as possible, both during the current crisis and beyond. Offering our cats a home will help to free up more space to take in emergency cases.

We have put in extensive procedures to make sure that our homing process is in line with current government guidance, without putting adoptees or our volunteers at risk.

For more details and the cats that are up for adoption please visit our adopt a cat page.

About Cats Protection:

Cats Protection is the largest and longest established feline welfare charity in the UK. At the Northampton branch we have approximately 40 volunteer team members, who give up their time to ensure that all cats have the best possible care and a bright future.
Cats Protection rescues and rehomes unwanted and abandoned cats, and promotes responsible cat ownership. We work towards three aims:
  • To rescue stray and unwanted cats and kittens, and rehabilitate and rehome them where possible.
  • To encourage the neutering of all cats and kittens.
  • To inform the public about the care of cats and kittens.
