Jolene joins the Joiners ...

Jolene – an old girl found straying several months ago in a sorry state in Sutton – has just landed on her purr-fect paws with Sarah and Steve Joiner of Wood End, Atherstone.

And she’s now part of an extended family – there’s an extra Mum too round the corner – regular CP volunteer Ann Kirby and her CP cat Jaffa who, says Ann, ‘has already sent Jolene two welcome texts and some nice new toys!’

CP fosterer Jenny Reynolds delivered Jolene on 1st September, after dispensing lots of TLC and ensuring she had all the vet treatment she needed. Poor Jolene had been adopted once, then returned as things didn’t work out. But everyone is delighted to hear how quickly Jolene settled into her second – this time forever - new home. There was no ‘hiding behind sofas’ as is so often the case. She was straight out and asking for fuss.

New owner Sarah is besotted with the ‘friendly old girl’ and enthuses: “Jolene is settling in beautifully - eating and drinking well and very affectionate. It wasn’t long before she amused us with a mad ten minutes with her new laser toy. We’ve already registered her at the local vet and, well, we couldn’t be happier.”

Homing Officer Sheila Pennell has swapped Jolene’s microchip details over, and that should seal the future of ‘Miss Jolene Joiner’ as a forever member of a warm and welcoming new family. We love happy endings at Cats Pro!
