New Year boost to Branch funds ...

Branch funds had a New Year boost in the middle of January when Pets At Home Perry Barr handed over a cheque for £532 after the very successful ‘Santa Paws’ fundraising campaign in December.

Volunteers Lee, Kathy and Sue were delighted – on behalf of our feline friends, of course – to accept the fruits of the fundraising efforts from store manager Emma Beach (and her hand-reared kitten Tinkabelle) but sad to see the Perry Barr store closing down and looking ‘very forlorn’.

But Emma is very positive about the future and the experience of working in partnership with the Branch. “It’s been amazing working alongside you all – I’ve learnt so much and ‘educated’ so many pet owners with your help and handouts. Being able to encourage neutering and cat care in general has been wonderful. You have helped me with my own kitten Tinka too. Thank you all so much - I'll keep in touch.”

Says can-shake queen/CP volunteer Sue Morgan:“The team at Perry Barr has supported the Branch tirelessly - we will miss that support and friendship. Emma Beach truly joined us in the sense that she became and remains a volunteer. She hand-reared the once-tiny Tinkabelle from just a few days old. This latest cheque for £532 again demonstrates the successful fundraising campaigns hosted by Perry Barr. Our thanks to the staff team and best wishes to each and every one in their new roles at other PaH stores. Thanks to the pet-loving public who have given so generously too.”
