Everyone at Preston Branch is an unpaid volunteer. We all work from our own homes, and usually meet up at fundraising events, although we do keep in touch by phone and email.

We are looking for committed, motivated fundraisers who can help at existing fundraising events, support our eBay sales, and organise new events with new volunteers. You might want to take a stall to a car boot sale or table top sale, run a regular book stall at our Fairs, help with supermarket collections, or have one or two fundraising 'Cat Parties' or coffee mornings at your own home. Our shop at 77 Liverpool Road, Penwortham, is very welcoming to new volunteers. If you have any questions, please contact the branch on 01772 393949 or via email at PrestonCatsProtection@gmail.com

Volunteer speaker

Our volunteer speakers have the important and exciting role of raising awareness of Cats Protection. They deliver pre-prepared talks, help spread messages around feline welfare and act as the voice of cats in their local communities. They also deliver talks to both adults and children in a variety of settings. Interacting with children is especially important, as they are the cat owners of the future, and by building their understanding and knowledge we can make the world a better place for cats.

Flair for fashion volunteer

Our retail ‘flair for fashion’ volunteers help raise the funds needed for us to help cats and kittens in need – whether they have a passion for cats, fashion or both! They identify, price and sort saleable clothing from donated stock, and the money raised goes directly to helping our feline friends. Making a difference can mean raising as little as 18p, which is enough to feed a cat in our care for a day.
