Welcome to Cats Protection Scotland Cat Centre

We’re here to support cats and kittens in Glasgow, covering the whole of Glasgow and the surrounding areas from Scotland Cat Centre and Glasgow Cat Centre, both run by the same dedicated team.

Run by a passionate, cat-loving team led by our manager Kim, we’re dedicated to improving the lives of cats and kittens in Glasgow, working to find loving new homes for local cats in our care, offering support with neutering and lost and found cats, as well as general education and awareness within the Glasgow area. You can find out more about the work of Cats Protection here

Please note that all of our cats ready to find their new homes are based at Glasgow Cat Centre, and cats can be met by appointment, following an application and discussion with our team.

How else can you help support cats and kittens in Glasgow?

  • You can sponsor a cat from our centre, receiving a welcome pack and regular updates on your new furry friend as well as 24/7 livestream access to get your feline fix from home.
  • We also have a shop at our Glasgow Cat Centre (G41 4AR) with various new and second hand goods for your own cat companions to enjoy, with all proceeds going directly to the cats in our care.

You can also find help and advice on the Cats Protection website.

Cat adoption in Scotland

Could you provide a loving new home for a cat in Glasgow? During the process of adopting a cat from us, we’ll consider everything from your potential pet’s personality, to your home environment – creating the perfect match for both cat and owner. We read through all the applications and if you’re found to be a great match for your chosen cat, we will contact you via phone or email and go over the cat's history and medical status with you.

If you are keen to adopt please click the 'enquire about' button on their individual listing below. We would always recommend that you register your interest online, to make sure that we have the perfect moggy-match before your visit - please email us at: enquiries@glasgow.cats.org.uk. Please note an adoption fee of £100 per adult and £120 per kitten applies to all adoption.

Our Scotland Cat Centre (G66) is the admissions centre for all the cats relinquished into our care. It is where they receive the important veterinary care needed before they go up for adoption. This centre is open by appointment only.

Our Glasgow Cat Centre (G41) houses our cats that are available for adoption and is open Wednesday to Monday, 11am to 3pm, and closed on Tuesdays.

Lost and found cats in Scotland

To report a lost or found cat in the Glasgow area, please call us on  0141 779 3341, or email us at enquiries@glasgow.cats.org.uk. You can also message the details to us on our Lost and Found Facebook page

Lost a cat? We’re here to help you. We can add your cat to our Lost & Found Facebook page & check to see if any cats are a possible match. Email us some clear photos which show your cat's colour and markings. We also need these details:

  • Your name, address & phone number.
  • Your cat's name & the date & time your cat went missing.
  • If they had a collar on and what colour it is.
  • Are they microchipped with contact details up to date?
  • Tell us if they are neutered or not.
  • Let us know if this out of character for them.

We will only publish your street name in the appeal and none of the other personal details.

Found a cat? Please email us full details, as above and let us know where and when the cat was found and how long it has been around and include a photo.

Please consider if the cat is definitely lost or if it could belong to a neighbour. Cats are free roaming, inquisitive creatures, who like to explore their neighbourhood. If the cat is unwell or injured, please call the SSPCA on: 03000 999 999
