Volunteer

Due to the increasing numbers of stray and unwanted cats we are always looking for new volunteers. There are many different things you can do with Cats Protection.

Fostering.  Cat fostering is hands on cat welfare work. Our fosterers look after felines on a short term basis, either in cat pens in their gardens that are provided by Cats Protection, or in a spare room in their home. Fostering is a very rewarding experience as you will be looking after cats from various backgrounds and finding them caring and loving homes. What our volunteers do can have a very positive effect on the lives of the cats in our care and you could be part of it.

Administration.  A large part of Cats Protection is administration, so we are also on the look out for people that are interested in volunteering but wouldn't like to be so hands on.

Helping to Fundraise  We are shsort of volunteers for fundraising. It is vital that we can raise funds to keep the branch operational. If you think you can offer any time to help build a fundraisingn team do get in touch.
To do events successfully, we also need volunteers on the day. The events range from  coffee mornings, sales stalls at fairs, pub quizes, bingo nights and car boot sales . We are always trying to think of new ideas for fundraising, if you have any, please share them with us. If you are interested in helping out at one of our events, please contact us and leave a message for Sally. The days are good fun and a great way to meet people. We are also looking for people able to organise their own events.

There are many different positions that offer satisfaction to people of all walks of life that are passionate about the welfare of cats. If you can spare some time you are encouraged to contact the branch on 0345 371 2759, which provides an essential cat re homing service in the local area.

However small the offer is, we will always gratefully welcome it. If you feel you can offer us any of your time and support, we would love to hear from you. It's a great way to meet people and make new friends.
