Volunteer at Cats Protection Swale Branch
Without volunteers, Cats Protection Swale Branch simply wouldn't exist. Our amazing, friendly volunteers are a diverse group with a shared love of cats who fit volunteering around their home lives and personal commitments.
We're often looking to welcome new volunteers to join our brilliant team. As well as meeting great people and making an incredible difference to the cats of Swale, you'll enjoy practical benefits such as discounted pet insurance.
BRANCH ADMINISTRATION TEAM LEADER - Volunteer
The purpose of this role is to support the organisation with communications and administration at a local level. You’ll play an active part in the branch committee and support the branch with record keeping and planning, thus enabling more cats to be helped.
FOSTERER - Volunteer
Across the UK, many cats are cared for by volunteer fosterers who provide a stable, safe and loving environment in their homes or in purpose-built pens in their gardens. They provide vital hands-on care and accommodation to stray or abandoned cats or cats whose owners could sadly no longer keep them, and are part of a dedicated team of volunteers committed to finding new homes for cats in need. Our fosterers carry out this role with support from their local branch or centre. Most of our fosterers care for one or two cats at a time and enjoy providing lots of TLC to those cats, who have been pre-loved or have had a difficult start in life. Some of our fosterers look after new mums and kittens and provide round-the-clock care to newborns to give them the best start in life.
FUNDRAISING EVENTS HELPER - Volunteer
Our fundraising event helpers have the exciting and varied role of helping at local fundraising events - such as cakes sales, barn dances, quiz nights – and everything in between!
FUNDRAISING EVENTS ORGANISER - Volunteer
Our fundraising events organisers help to plan and deliver local fundraising events to raise the vital funds needed to help our feline friends. They use their passion for cats and people to book attendance at summer fairs, car shows, boot fairs and anywhere that they see as a good fundraising opportunity.
WEBSITE EDITOR - Volunteer
Our volunteer website editors promote the activities of our local volunteer groups and teams by helping keep their websites relevant, up to date and engaging for members of the public. Local websites are one of the places members of the public will look to find out more about Cats Protection. A positive local profile can help raise funds, promote adopting a cat, promote neutering and make sure as many people as possible learn about great cat welfare.
